Ten Study Tips To Score Better In Exams

Since you are reading this, I assume that you are very concerned about your grades. If yes, then you have come to the right place. I'll walk you through these 10 Steps, which if you follow, will help you score very high marks. So without any further delay, let's begin!

1. Attend classes/lectures regularly.

This is important because we tend to understand better when someone explains us the concept rather than reading it by ourselves. Also, attending lectures helps us know the important topics and take lecture notes.

2. Time Management

It's advisable to have a study schedule. Studies show that students who have a planned studying pattern score better than those who don't. So grab a planner and set few hours each day for you studies.

3. Set Goals.

Now that you'll be using a planner, make sure you set some weekly and monthly goals. And achieve atleast 90% of those goals. Also, instead of studying of a particular number of hours, you can decide what topic you will cover in day. Both ways are effective. Find out what works best for you.

4. Make Notes.

You attend lectures, you read from different reference books so its best to make notes of all the important points. This will help you a day before exam. If you have your own personalized notes, you won't have to go through all different books. That will save a lot of time.

5. Find your Peak Concentration Time

Some of us like to study early in the morning while some are night owls. Find the time of the day at which your concentration level is at its peak. This way you will learn more things in less time.

6. Avoid Distractions.

Make sure you get rid of all the distractions while you study. Do not use Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, etc while studying. You can put your phone on flight mode and shut down your computer while studying. If you're studying online, you need to have a very strong power of self control. Promise yourself that you won't log in to your social media accounts while you study. Or use app that block selected websited for certain amount of time

7. Take Breaks

Studying for long hours can be  very exhausting. And as the hours add up, your concentration decreases. So you must take few minutes of break while studying. For Instance, you can study for 50 minutes straight and then take a break. These breaks will revive your energy and focus. But don't forget to get back to work after breaks.

8. Learn from the past

Try to find as many past papers of that particular test and solve them all. This is mostly true for board exams, Some questions are asked almost every year, make sure to have a good grip on those topics.

9. Break a Sweat.

I know, I know. This post was supposed to be about exams and studying, and all of sudden I am talking about physical activity. But it is very important to stay healthy as well. Some amount of work out will help your brain revive and understand things better. Now, you don't have to lift weights and all. A 30 minute brisk walk and eating healthy food is enough.

10. Have Faith

Now you have done all you could. Don't worry about the results, the results will be a reflection of your hard work. So you need to have faith, not necessarily in God, but in yourself and in all your hard work.

So these were some tips you can follow in the long term to get good grades. I was planning to write something on what to do while writing the exam but I'm not really sure if people even read these blogs. Please leave a comment if you want me to write that. Also let me know whether these tips helped you or not. Suggestions are also welcomed. :)

Have a Nice Day and All The Best for your exams! :)

Here are 12 things you go through while you study Science in HSC.

1. Choosing a coaching class
It's always difficult to choose a coaching class because the ones which are popular are very expensive and you don't trust the ones with low fees. You want to go to a particular coaching class becaue you have friends there.

2. What's up with physics?
Physics looked like a cakewalk when it started with Unit and Dimensions chapters, but it became a nightmare when mechanics and electrodynamics kicked in.

English was the only subject you were never stressed about and scored good in it.

5. Maths was easy before calculus.

6. Managing school and coaching classes
When you had a physics test at coaching class and math test in school, remember?

Admit it, your family members showed their artistic skills in your bio journals.

9. You envy your friends in Commerce section
Yes, you always think they have a lot of free time and all you do is study.

10. You start to get serious about boards by November.
Once Diwali vacation ends and your school reopens, you start taking things seriously.

11. The score you get in board exams is the highest you got in last two years.

You somehow passed 12th standard but still don't know what you want to become. Though you have a list of career options you DON'T want to pursue.
